Amateur Radio is a wonderful hobby for kids.
Amateur radio is both a technical as well as social and public service hobby that spans the entire world.
Amateur radio (also known as Ham Radio) attracts people from all walks of life, from the kid next door, to the rich and famous, anyone who is interested in all facets of radio communications.
Involvement in amateur radio allows people to practice their communications skills, foreign language skills as well as the technical knowledge of electronics, radio theory.
If you would like to learn more about becoming an Amateur Radio operator ("ham") whether you are an adult or not, we offer you the opportunity to contact OMARC and ask for our assistance and ask about our "Neighborhood Roundup Program".
